Electrocardiography is the basic cardiac screening test for detecting rhythm disorders, conduction problems and signs of past heart disease. It is an essential part of fitness-for-work evaluation, especially for positions involving work at height, night shifts and heavy physical labor.
Recordings are taken with a 12-lead digital ECG device in a lying position and evaluated by a cardiologist. Employees with urgent findings are reported to your occupational physician and to the individual on the same day.
