Frequently asked questions
Does my employer need to apply?
No. You can apply individually for your pre-employment health report. Companies requesting group examinations for their employees are served separately.
Is an OSGB health report the same as a pre-employment health report?
Yes. The health report employers ask you to obtain from an OSGB is the pre-employment report issued on the EK-2 form by an occupational physician at an authorized OSGB. Our centre operates within an authorized OSGB and issues this report on the same day you apply individually.
Where is your centre?
Our centre is in Kızılay, at Cumhuriyet Mahallesi Bayındır-1 Sokak No: 14/C, Çankaya / Ankara, one minute on foot from Kızılay metro station. Applications are accepted on weekdays from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm and on Saturdays from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed. You can apply directly at our centre during business hours. Call ahead for information on waiting times.
When is my report issued?
Once the examination and tests are complete, your report is issued the same day.
How is the fee determined?
The fee depends on the tests your job requires. Share your position and the employer's line of business by phone for detailed information.
Which tests are performed?
The occupational physician determines the tests based on the nature of the job and the hazard class. The most common are chest X-ray, audiometry, pulmonary function test and blood tests.
Do you issue reports for hazardous work?
Yes. The fitness-for-work report required for hazardous and very hazardous work is prepared in line with the EK-2 form together with the required tests.
Who can issue a pre-employment report?
Under Article 15 of Law No. 6331, health reports are obtained from an occupational physician. For low hazard workplaces with fewer than 50 employees, the report may also be obtained from occupational health centres (ÇASMER), family physicians or other public health providers. For hazardous and very hazardous work, the report is issued by an occupational physician.
What information is needed when applying?
To prepare the report in line with the EK-2 form, your identity document, the name of the company you will work for and a description of your duties are needed. Knowing the company's line of business or hazard class makes it easier to determine the tests.
Will my employer accept the report?
Reports are prepared in line with the EK-2 form by our occupational physician within an authorized OSGB. If your employer has a contracted OSGB, we recommend confirming where the report should be obtained.
