İSG-KATİP contract plus annual work plan and activity report
Article 6 of Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 requires every workplace, regardless of employee count or hazard class, to assign an occupational physician or obtain this service from an authorized joint health and safety unit (OSGB). The obligation that had been postponed for public institutions and low hazard workplaces with fewer than 50 employees took effect on January 1, 2025. Every business must now have a designated occupational physician.
The physician we assign builds the annual health surveillance plan, conducts pre-employment and periodic examinations on the EK-2 form, monitors chronic conditions and exposures, handles return-to-work evaluations after workplace accidents and serves on your OHS committee. With our mobile health unit infrastructure, all examination-related tests are completed at your workplace in the same organization. Your physician receives the results as a ready file.
Working hours are planned so they never fall below the legal minimum. The monthly time per employee is 5 minutes in the low hazard class, 10 in the hazardous class and 15 in the very hazardous class. A full-time occupational physician is assigned in workplaces with 2,000 or more employees in the low hazard class, 1,000 in the hazardous class and 750 in the very hazardous class. The contract is issued through the İSG-KATİP system (the Ministry of Labor's online assignment system) and takes effect upon mutual approval.

Questions about this service
We are a small, low hazard business. Is an occupational physician mandatory for us too?
Yes. The postponements ended on December 31, 2024, and as of January 1, 2025 all workplaces, including public institutions, are covered. In low hazard workplaces with fewer than 50 employees, the employer may take on some OHS duties after completing the Ministry training. However, pre-employment and periodic examinations and their tests fall outside this scope and require a physician.
How does the process work when combined with mobile screening?
We combine the two services in a single contract. Our mobile unit completes the tests at your workplace, and the results reach our physician as a file ready for EK-2 assessment. The burden of arranging separate laboratory and hospital visits disappears, and reporting time gets shorter.
