In sectors such as food production and sales, catering, hospitality, cleaning and hairdressing, regular screening of employees for infectious disease carriage is a legal requirement. Food handler screening (portör) verifies carriage status through laboratory testing.
All samples (stool, throat and nasal swabs) are collected at your workplace, and the chest X-ray is taken in our mobile X-ray unit. The full four-item portör set is completed in a single session without interrupting production.
Result reports are prepared per employee. For positive cases, treatment and follow-up are planned together with your occupational physician. We also prepare the record system you will present during inspections.

Questions about this service
How often should food handler screening be repeated?
In established practice, stool microscopy is repeated every 6 months, while stool culture, throat and nasal culture and the chest X-ray are repeated once a year. We plan the schedule with you ahead of inspection periods.
Do new hires require a separate organization?
No. For employees hired between periodic screenings, our sampling team schedules an extra visit, or the employee is directed to our partner laboratory location.
